When does SPChat fit?
SPChat fits when the chat should be part of your website under your domain and you want to choose the hosting, visual design and moderation setup. The download edition also makes you responsible for operation and updates. The hosted edition removes the server work but remains a separate SPChat service.
Centralized platform services fit when your community already uses that platform and you do not want to operate a chat. Their accounts, product interface and platform rules then apply.
